In the winter of 2006/7 a four-man Royal Navy & Royal Marines team manhauled sledges from the edge of Antarctica to the South Pole and returned to their start point using power kites. Covering 2,500km over 71 days in temperatures of -40°C, they became the first successful military expedition to reach the south pole and return safely.

The talk will be held at the Alpine Club's premises at 55 Charlotte Road, London, EC2A 3QF from 7PM on 10 September 2024.

For safety reasons, we are required to keep a register of all attendees. If you plan to attend, please complete the form below. (This applies to both members and non-members).
