Lake Como Meet 2023

Saturday 04 February 2023In the footsteps of Cassin and Bonatti. The Lake Como meet is based on the Piano di Resinelli plateau, beneath the Grigna Mountains (Gruppo delle Grigne, Grigna Meridionale 2,177M, Grigna Settentrionale 2,410M) above Lecco.
It gives easy access by foot and by car to a variety of possibilities:
Low level south facing crags (corno del medale, zucco dell'angelone) for rock climbing in tee shirts and shorts, even in February.
Higher up there is a wide choice of snow ridges/ ice gullies from F to TD+, some quite long up to 1500m (https://www.gulliver.it/itinerari/grigna-settentrionale-o-grignone-via-dellinglese-versante-fasana/).
Unfortunately I cannot guarantee the conditions, but in the case there is no snow, there is a fair amount of rock climbing on limestone.
Italian hospitality included, and if there is bad weather visits to Milan, Bergamo etc or a boat ride on the lake. Even possible a trip to Finale Ligure.
We will be staying at the "Rifugio Locatelli" that costs 60 Euros per day half board. Upto 16 participants are welcome.
