The Alpine Club, the world’s first mountaineering club, was founded in 1857. For over 150 years, members have been at the leading edge of worldwide mountaineering development and exploration.
With membership, experienced and aspiring alpinists benefit from a varied meets programme, regional lectures with notable guest speakers, reduced rates at many alpine huts, opportunity to apply for grants to support expeditions, significant discounts at many UK retailers, extensive networking contacts, access to the AC Library and maps - and more!
Becoming a MemberCome and join us at one of the UK’s premier sea cliff climbing venues, where there is something for everyone: gnarly routes where you are racing against the tide; relaxed slabs where you are chilling in the sunshine; spectacular coastal walking; marvellous coffee shops, galleries and pub food.
This year we will be staying at the Cottage Barn at St David Bunk Barns - https://www.stdavidsbunkbarns.co.uk/accommodation/
We have booked the whole weekend, so you are welcome to make a long weekend and stay 3 nights, thought to Monday (departing by 10am). Costs are £42 for 2 nights and £63 for 3 nights.
The Barn sleeps 24, we’ve booked 20 spaces. It has excellent self-catering facilities, underfloor heating, lounge area and outdoor seating. They supply all bedding; you will just need to bring personal towels.
Tides. My very rough calculations give low tide around 10am Sat, 11am Sun, noon on Monday but you must make your own calculations.
