Becoming a MemberAs a climber, writer, photographer and doctor, Michael Gill became a close friend of Hillary and was invited on most of his expeditions up to 1977. Having this background, and with access to the vast Hillary archive and private correspondence, he was able to compile a unique account of Hillary's life in his newly released book; Edmund Hillary - A Biography.
