The Alpine Club, the world’s first mountaineering club, was founded in 1857. For over 150 years, members have been at the leading edge of worldwide mountaineering development and exploration.

Becoming a MemberVenue: Bowles Rocks (TN3 9LP)
Meeting Point: At the rocks (£5 charge by site)
Time: 10am
Directions by car: 6km SW from Royal Tunbridge Wells on the A26, pass turn off to Eridge continue for 600m and take left turn onto Sandhill lane.
Directions by train: Eridge railway station. In keeping with AC ambitions to make meets travel more sustainable it would be good to get as many people as possible who are coming from or via London to travel by train. The crag is a 30 minute walk from Eridge station, south west via A26.
Directions by bus: Direct from Royal Tunbridge Wells or Lewes Nr 28 or 29, Sandhill Lane stop.

Equipment: Semi static 30m rope, static slings off trees - very long in places for top roping, preferably no chalk used, foot mat useful and bring packed lunch. If you don't have a top rope there will be enough to share.
Pub: The Huntsman. Next to Eridge train station. Close to the rocks, friendly, good beer, food, parking, roomy. Let me know if you are eating here, and I will book a table and warn them on approx. numbers
