Dates: May 6th – 13th 2017
Detail:
The Glenbrittle Memorial Hut is booked from 6th May 2017 for 1 week. This will be our third meet in Skye with the CPC. The Hut is in a superb location at the bottom of Glen Brittle, and offers a great opportunity to access the Cuillin Ridge by foot, from the front door. Not much further afield, the rest of the Isle of Skye can also be visited, including caves (yes, there are some though I doubt we’ll be visiting any of them), climbs, cycling (MTB and road) plus walking.
Hopefully we’ll be there before the midges, and are planning on a dry settled week. Other options include visiting the JMCS Hut at Coriusk.
Location:
The Glenbrittle Memorial Hut, Skye
http://gbmh.co.uk/ there is a campsite nearby (if you must…).
Getting there and away:
Given the distance I’m happy to link people up for lifts. Lifts from Kyle of Lochalsh etc. should also be possible.
Cost:
The hut is hostel type accommodation, with good shower, drying room and kitchen facilities (major renovation completed in 2015). The cost for the week is £84 (assuming we fill the hut, which on previous experience I expect to, otherwise £105). Preference will be for those booking the whole week.
I would like firm commitments (money) by the end of December.
