Adventures in the Tien Shan
Tom Bell, Tim Elson and Max Folkett will describe their experiences organising their first expedition to a remote glacier system in the Tien Shan in Kyrgyzstan. Including the perils of rock fall, crevasse rescue, river crossings, alpine rodent infestations, military police and plague outbreaks. In between all this the team found time for seven ascents of unclimbed peaks including a high altitude traverse of the dividing range.
